Different Sales Training TechniquesHaving been in sales for several years now, I have researched many coaching and sales techniques and have come across many leadership and coaching skills trainings. However, I had never heard of NLP Sales Training until today. It seems that the actual acronym stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. That says it all now doesn't it! In an effort to determine what this really means, I went to Wikipedia because when I searched for what is NLP Sales Training, Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, came up with "Neuro-linguistic Programming (usually shortened to NLP) is an interpersonal communication model and an alternative approach to psychotherapy based on the subjective study of language, communication and personal change..." While intriguing wording, I am still not one hundred percent sure what in the world that means! On another website, NLP is defined as the study of the structure of how humans think and experience the world. In reading further, I discovered that it came about as a study of patterns of behavior and communications of highly successful people in an effort to duplicate their success. Over time, NLP and many variants of NLP, have made their way into seminars, workshops, books and audio programs. NLP does not seem to have one comprehensive definition, but does have some common principles and assumptions. It seems to represent a paradigm shift; it is a completely new way of thinking that makes personal change and heightened achievement levels possible. The theory that if one person can do it, anyone can learn to do it seems to be a common thread. The Sandler training approach addresses attitude, behavior and technique, the three areas they believe are necessary to emulate fro the models of success. Human excellence can be systematically studied, then reproduced. Just as anyone can learn to ski, drive, or use a computer, anyone can learn to apply the core achievement skills of motivation, persuasion, confidence and self-esteem. How will studying NLP techniques benefit your business? Through using the NLP techniques, your professional success will be much more consistent, and much more predictable. Your employees abilities to empower themselves for optimum results will be increased as will their effectiveness in working with others. They will be able to eliminate any negative emotions or limiting decisions, identify and change limiting beliefs, inspire themselves with a compelling future that will have a much better chance of coming true, and create patterns of excellence from any role model they choose. |
